The Grand Lake Nordic Center is the perfect winter activity center for the whole family. Great for skiing, snowshoe hiking, scenery, family fun, and lessons, the center has a little bit of something for the whole family!
1. For starters, the ski and snowshoe trails have spectacular views of the Rockies. Whether you ski or like the idea of snowshoe hiking through their trails, you will make unforgettable memories. Terrain for beginners and advanced skiers or trekkers means fun for the whole family!
2. A FREE tubing and sledding hill makes for hours of fun! A day at Grand Lake Nordic Center is simply not complete without visiting the tubing and sledding hill. The center provides tubes and encourages visitors to bring sleds to take advantage of the free activity.
3. More FREE things! The center offers free lessons for kids on specific Fridays during the season. These one-hour sessions designed for children ages 3-8 are perfect for getting the kiddos familiar with cross-country skis. 4. The Grand Lake Nordic Center plays host to a number of events throughout the winter months. Locals Appreciation Day allows all Grand County residents and homeowners a free trail pass! Full Moon Ski is an adults-only event with a bonfire, chili, hot chocolate, and trail passes will only be $10. A Guided Snowshoe Hike led by a local naturalist will teach you how to survive in the wilderness during winter and how to use snowshoes. Romp and Stomp is the perfect chance to bring your furry friends along in support of the Grand County Pet Pals organization.
