The Town of Winter Park purchased a 9-acre parcel from Harold Baker to use for affordable housing. Located at the north entrance to town, the Town paid $750,000 for a piece of the old ranch.
Mr. Baker has owned the 100 acre ranch since the 1960’s when it was a popular guest ranch. Baker has been selling parcels for years. The old lodge for the quest ranch is currently the “Sushi Bar”
Short term the Town will be developing the site as a RV campground. The affordable housing fund allows the town to invest in property.
Future plans call for a boardwalk trail to connect Rendezvous to town and provide access to the Fraser River.
