Valentine’s Day I was able to experience a snowy winter morning doing one of the oldest snow sports “Snowshoeing” It is a great way to enjoy the winter scenery and a get workout. Easy to learn and requires very little equipment, all you need to do is put one foot in front of the other.  Winter Park’s miles of popular summer hiking, mountain bike trails become the snowshoeing routes in the winter. There are trails for all levels of experience and endurance. This sport offers an inexpensive way to explore, enjoy wildlife and can be a fun day for the whole family of all ages. Don’t be surprised if you see fox, moose or tracks of a snowshoe hare.

The solitude and total absence of sound is something special to enjoy.  There may be no better way to have fun and appreciate Colorado’s great outdoors.
