Get your sunscreen and candy bags ready because Grand County Parade Season is upon us!
I’ve got you covered across Grand County from Grand Lake to Kremmling and every Parade in between.
Let’s start summer off right by honoring those who serve(d) to protect and defend our nation. The Grand Lake Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony begins promptly at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 25th and transverses down Grand Avenue in Grand Lake. It includes Veterans, service groups, horses, and plenty of patriotism! Immediately following the parade will be a touching ceremony in the Town Park with live music! Dress warm – it can be chilly this time of year.
Want to see a little Grand County hometown pride? Then you don’t want to miss the 51st Annual Hot Sulphur Days with the Texas Charlie Shootout at High Noon followed by lots of waving, laughing, and candy tossing on Saturday, June 13th. P.S. Stay for the fireworks. You won’t be disappointed.
Just a little further west on Saturday, June 20th, you will find a fun-filled day celebrating the heritage, community and spirit of Kremmling, Colorado. Kremmling Days is a long-time tradition with Fireman games, home-baked pies, live music, and of course a PARADE!
Saturday, July 4, 2015 will be a special one for the town of Granby. This parade is the “signature” parade for the 100th Anniversary of Rocky Mountain National Park. This year’s theme is “Wilderness, Wildlife and Wonder”. Get there early because this parade has made a name for itself and draws people from all over. You won’t want to miss this one!
Let’s end the season where we started it in beautiful Grand Lake with the 68th Annual Buffalo Barbecue and Parade Sunday, July 19th. Start by grabbing some barbecue in the town park at 12:00 then find a nice spot to watch the famous Buffalo Barbecue Parade head down Grand Avenue at 1:00!
