Grand County Real Estate Market Update – Activity levels and property showings are picking up in the Winter Park Area market.

This is typical for the time of year.  Most second home buyers want to find something before the ski season or sometimes before the kids go back to school.

In July, 22 properties closed in the Winter Park Area compared to only 15 that closed in June.  And there were 27 more properties that went under contract in July compared to June for the Winter Park Area…but we have to wait and see if those transactions make it to the closing table.

Lending requirements continue to be challenging for most buyers, appraisals are taking a long time and closing short sales and foreclosures continues to be a painful and challenging process.
